Bank Street List, 2016 Edition!

TWO IS ENOUGH was recently honored with inclusion in the Bank Street College of Education's "Best Children's Book" list--aimed at helping put the best books in the hands of librarians, teachers, parents, grandparents and ultimately, children.

On a related note...I continue to hear stories from readers, both via email and in person, of how this book is touching hearts and helping to affirm our smallest families.  This is the biggest honor of all.

The finalists for the "Indiana Early Literacy Firefly Award" are out, and TWO IS ENOUGH made the list! Other finalists include NOSE TO TOES, YOU ARE YUMMY by Tim Harrington, I GOT THE RHYTHM by Connie Schofield-Morrison, BEAR SEES COLORS by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman, and HOORAY FOR HAT! by Brian Won. The award is sponsored by the Indiana Center for the Book, in order to "encourage parents, caregivers, and very young children to interact together with exceptional picture books."

If you live in Indiana, please ask your library, preschool or bookstore to provide books and ballots for this award. And if you are 0 to 5 years old, or know someone who is, get out there and vote (once per child) by May 6, 2016. Happy reading!
